The lowland area for sustainable conservation of horticultural plants in Bintuni Bay Regency

Abstract This study was aimed to determine the land suitability class of fruit and vegetable crops which are potential be developed in lowland Bintuni Bay. It showed that Manimeri is for development (particularly orange rambutan), vegetables (greens mustard, long beans, chili). Based on actual suitability, this area categorized as marginal (S3) with water availability, nutrient retention, availability limiting factors. (banana, durian, mango), (mustard, cabbage, spinach, eggplant, tomatoes, chili), being quite a suitable (S2), Tembuni (red fruit), (mustard greens, pumpkin, very (S1). Beimes pineapple papaya (S2). Mango, green chicory, red chilies less because it includes factors root media, low nutrients.
